Web of Wellbeing Assessment
Western medicine is good at mechanical repairs and pharmaceutical interventions that act on the body's systems for the client. Alternative practitioners empower the body's inherent capacity to heal itself with the help of interpersonal, energetic and spiritual interventions. The field of interpersonal neurobiology shows us that our health is dependent upon the state of those around us. Myriad studies show how our environment impacts or wellbeing. As such, upon joining the platform, both practitioners and clients take a Holistic Web of Wellbeing Assessment, providing a screenshot of their Qualitative, Physiological, Pathological, Energetic, Transpersonal, Relational, and Environmental health

With informed consent from clients (which can be rescinded at any time); Lichen tracks as many holistic markers of wellbeing as individuals want monitored, as they own their own dada. WOW data can be compared with similar individuals in the collective to maximize positive impact and minimize harm. Holistic markers bridge to our current health monitoring system, allowing clients to overlay their western medical data on their Lichen WOW to further understand and steward their holistic healing, whether they're working within Lichen or with an outside provider.
Network Navigation
Clients & Practitioners can self guide through the continuum of care, filtered by Department, Symptom and Modality, further filtered via Local Search when in-person training or treatment is desired. Content, care organizations and individual practitioners can be further sorted by peers and professional you trust. Expand your options to second-degree referrals (e.g. trusted by someone you trust) to increase training and treatment opportunities. Both practitioners and clients save valuable time referring, educating and preparing for training, and/or care.
Kaleidoscope of Care
When clients join the platform, we bridge form their incumbent systems of healthcare via the Kaleidoscope of Care, which integrates Practice, Symptom and Treatment data from outside practitioners with the client's Web of Wellbeing Assessment to inform a holistic Kaleidoscope of Care (KOC) Plan that considering the client's entire health profile and current health goals. Aided by an intuitive and easy-to-use UI, the client's Holistic Care Concierge helps translate the client’s healing journey into an iterative and holistic treatment plan, optimized and automated by data and AI over time.
KOC Treatment Plan
Customized Care Plans are targeted to the client’s symptoms, organized by the stages of change and flighted by the right, next intervention. Client insurance and benefits are applied where possible, with scholarships covering what the client cannot afford out-of-pocket. Recommended care is increasingly automated over time as the wisdom of human-driven treatment planning can be translated into automated recommendations via machine learning. The depth and breadth of network options expands as referrals grow and clients and practitioners join the platform.
KOC Training Plan
Lichen works with local organizations to integrate and showcase their training and treatment offering in our Kaleidoscope of Care. Didactic, Experiential and Clinical options are delineated. When possible, trainees and trainers are paired to maximize both learning for clinicians and quality of care for clients. Providers are sorted by Local Search, so practitioners and clients can identify training and treatment opportunities for Experiential and Clinical training. Healers with licenses are paired with trainees on a licensure track to procure CE’s and meet Supervision requirements.
WOW Research & Analytics
Because community members own their data; they control how it is used for internal research and development, as well as external partnerships. Revenue from user-approved research is invested back in the community. Double-blind analysis via multiple databases allows for a diverse, rich research landscape. Population-level insights allow for multi-factorial monitoring of individual, social and ecological health, in real time.
